Just recently my friend moved into an older home. I was spending the night there a few weeks ago, and we heard some noises downstairs. Her little brother was sleeping in the room with her and he was fast asleep, we also did not want to wake her parents because they would tell us we are crazy and go back to sleep. We decided to investigate it ourselves (:

Once we approached the stairs we heard soft footsteps going up and down. We took some flashlights down and walked into the downstairs room, we saw nothing until we heard a bang, whipped around, and saw a figure of a man standing right outside the door leading to the stairs . We looked over to the closet and saw another man. We screamed and made a run for the elevator. Once we got up we heard the elevator going up and down, and footsteps walking around. Obviously we were the only ones who heard it, and we decided not to investigate anymore.

( Mind you that the house was built quite a while ago and there are several hidden passageways and hidden rooms everywhere. )
