The Day I Met My Angel

Greetings, I am Fausteen & live in England. Family from England & America were gathering to attend a wedding in Jamaica. I had arrived a coupla days before my brother who was also travelling from England and I was tasked with collecting him from the airport, a 2 hour drive away. Our father had died 3yrs prior and our stepfather had died 1 year earlier.
We, my cousin & I, were travelling in my stepfather's car, a powerful automatic car that I had driven many many times before. Roads in Jamaica are not like those in Britain nor the States, they are twisty and pot-holed but, nonetheless, my mother had given my cousin permission to share the driving with me, he had never yet been permitted to get behind this particular wheel although he was an experienced driver.
We had been on the road for about 20 minutes when something occured which put him into a skid. Those of you who drive manual (stick shift) cars OR those of you who have driven on ice will understand when I say that braking at this point is not what you do however my cousin did not have that experience.
The car swerved right - toward a cement gatepost, he braked and swerved left - toward an embankment. He braked and swerved right again, this time to the opposite embankment set at 45 degrees.
During all of this, I felt no fear... I remember sensing a presence on the back seat, very large and looming right bang in the centre of the back seat. I settled back into my seat and braced my arm on the rest. We mounted that opposite embankment and I remained silent whilst the sound of air rushing past, glass breaking, grass and foliage ripping filled my ears and we were airborne. The degree of the embankment had us roll anti-clockwise mid-air. As we travelled foreward, we hit a tree stump which flipped us end to end and I remember the world turning upside down twice in front of me...
My side of the car hit the ground first. As we lay there, the weight of the car compressed the space we were occupying and my one nano-second of panic occurred as I said, in my head, 'when is this going to stop?' and as I reached the end of that sentence it stopped. My cousin's window had been fully open, mine had not. My cousin was not wearing a seatbelt, I was.
He scrambled out of the vehicle whilst I fumbled with the seatbelt, crept across the glass strewn roof to leave the car like a cat would crawl under a fence and then I felt it... As I struggled to arch my back, I felt two powerful but gentle hands place themselves under my arms and LIFT ME OUT.
I had no injuries bar two bruises.
Initially I had thought I was my father. Then I thought it was my step-father but neither felt right...
I have since been revisited and I know now that it was my Angel.
