I told my friend that one day I would sing in public before a large international audience. She laughed until she cried because usually my voice sounds like cats scratching on a hot tin roof. I had never been in a choir.

Years passed and I worked with a childrens choir. We learned several songs. In one of the songs, I sang the first part and the children sang the second.

One day the principal asked if the children could sing for a few guests who were coming the next day. No problem.

Next day she told me to bring the childrens choir to the chapel.

As soon as I saw the International crowd, I began to panic and attempted to change the songs. There was no way I was going to sing in front of that crowd! Then swoosh! Suddenly out of nowhere, I saw a young man standing beside me on stage. He was wearing a long white tunic. He said, "You'd better obey..." He gave me a warning look. I said "No....please...don't make me sing!" He gave me another firm look and said with another no nonsense look, "You'd better obey..." I got a chill because I felt that if I didn't sing I would be in big trouble. So I began to sing and the angel did, too.

It was a huge success. The international crowd thoroughly enjoyed the song. I was so proud that the next day I began to think that maybe I was an accomplished singer. I opened my mouth to belt out a tune by myself. Darn! Cats on a hot tin roof again. Where did that Angel go?
