A few months back, nearing twilight, my mother, father, brother and I decided to take a sunday walk, one which we had not taken for 8 years because of several incidents. My entire family follows Hinduism. Before I begin to tell you what happened I'd like to say that there are two wonderful, darling and friendly stray dogs that are fed by me, my family, as well as a few other dog lovers. They've been there since I was a little girl and being a stray is what's best for them.
We were taking a walk to this trail and all of a sudden these dogs started behaving like I've never seen them before they encircled us and didn't let us go past a certain point, they howled and kept us from walking beyond a banyan tree which is sacred in Hindu mythology as it is told to have spirits living under it. My mother being a very spiritual person told us that we should walk back, we did and the dogs stood beside us till we walked back as it began drizzling and within five minutes turned into a rainstorm which we would have been caught in, in a quicksand prone area which is at least 25 miles long, though there were not many pits as such I still think that those dogs have been like guardian angels to those who have been good to them. I have had an affinity with stray dogs since I was a little girl, even if I've never seen a dog before they would chase me around wagging their tails, maybe guardian angels can take a human or animal form, and sometimes people come into your life for a reason..
