My Wife and I just getting around to our chores for the day, she headed to the Grocery Store and I headed out back to Mow the Yard. Nothing unusual. All my life I have been physically fit enough to do what-ever I wanted to without having to consider climate conditions. I serviced the Lawn Mower, started it and began to mow. Did not notice feeling anything unusual about myself.
Then, I opened my eyes and was "Flat" on the ground, arms wrapped around the handle of the lawn mower which, was sticking up in the air running full throttle. I could not get loose of the lawn mower, I did not understand why. I was deeply "Dazed" at best.
When finally I did free myself of it, upon rising to my feet and attempting to take a step I would fall over to my left side and down to the ground "Hard". Each time falling into the Chain Link Fence, cutting my head and left arm. "Repeatedly", I rose and fell, in my dazed state, although I was not entirely "in tune" with what was going on, I somehow realized the urgency of getting myself into the house. I had made little or no progress when, the last time I remember falling was, into the corner of my storage shed, I hit the corner of the shed with the left side of my back, mid-rib area. That is the last conscious (as conscious as I was at the time), thought I remembered. I was in "Utter" darkness, more overwhelming than I have ever experienced before or since.
There was an entrance to a tunnel, not well defined but, an entrance none-the-less. Cobblestone construction in appearance, in the darkness and somewhere, way, far down it a pin-point of light. Then an overwhelming white, blinding, all-encompassing whiteness, enveloped everything and I heard, inside my head; "You are going to be fine, it is not yet your time to be here, you will suffer for a while" but, you will be allright.
Since falling into the corner of the shed, way out in the yard, the next thing I remembered was setting out on the patio, my wife was there and I was covered in bags of frozen vegetables. My Wife was asking me if I was Ok and trying to get me to drink from a glass of water.
I asked her "What Had Happened" ? She said that, shortly after arriving at the Grocery Store, her cell phone rang and it was a call from my cell phone, she said it was my voice ! She said that I simply said, "My left side does not work, come home quick". I asked her, upon arriving home, where she had found me. She said that I was "in the house", in the back room, The Den, "on" the couch, just inside the back patio doors.
She asked me why I asked her that. I replied because, "I saw myself, I was looking at myself from up near the ceiling, I saw myself laying, sprawled out "on the floor", like a dead person, just inside the back patio doors. I was looking at myself, I knew it was me, laying there. I was aware that I was up above looking down at my body, laying there, on the floor, just inside the back doors.
My wife replied that, "That would account for all the blood that she found , on the carpet and on the back of the couch, just inside the patio doors". "(The blood from the cuts on my arm and head from falling repeatedly into the chain link fence). So, I did see my body lying in the floor.
Many things I have omitted, due to lack of time and available space, "When my Wife found me, I was Ashen-Gray in color, cool & clamy to the touch and my breathing was very shallow. I was completely paralyzed down my left side and from the time she arrived home, found me and started working on me, to the time I recall setting on the patio being covered in frozen vegetables was 2 - 3 hours. All the while she was trying to revive me, she kept threatening to call 911 but said that I would "Beg" her not to because, "I had been told thatI would be Ok". She just did not understand.
Since then, I have been told by more than one Doctor that, I should have been a 2006 Heat Stroke Death Statistic.
Anyway, out of body experiences do really happen It happened to me and, up to that time, I was not a believer in such things. There is a Parallell dimension of consciousness and, "It is just Right There"! Nor Way-Far-Away, Just right there and, when You are there, in it, "You know it, you are fully aware of, what is going on and where you are but, "There is no feeling of desperation", You are "Just There" and You know it and, there is "Nothing" you can or want to do about it, You are Just There"! That is the only way I can describe it!
