We moved to a house on the Millersville Pike in Lancaster when I was in first grade. Since then weird things started to happen. A child was seen in the front bed room crying. Unexplained noises were heard in the basement like voices calling my little sister and like someone dropped a box of glasses and broke them. But when we checked no one was there. I know this sounds weird but even people that had known nothing of the ongoing things in the house heard and seen things that frightened them.
Recently my Dad decided that he was going to sell the house he and my mom lived in this house for 44 years. My Mom past away a few years ago and my Dad has a hard time getting around any more. My Dad never believed any of the things he was told about the house till now. His last days there were a nightmare to him. He said he thought my sisters husband was trying to make him think he was crazy. He said the other day the furnace was turned on high and when he asked my brother in law why it was on my brother in law said that he didn't turn it on. That made my Dad think that they wanted him to think he was crazy and that he turned it on.
My Dad can't go up and down stairs any more. The next day they found pans spread out over the kitchen floor again my brother in law said my Dad must have done it. My Dad said he would never do something so stupid. Then it happened again but my brother in law was in the living room with my Dad the whole time talking when he went to get coffee for him and my Dad he yelled Bud the pans are all over the kitchen floor again. They were the only 2 in the house and neither of them left the living room.
My Dad refused to spend another night in the house and went to stay with a family member until his apartment was ready. My sisters moved everything out for him. Later that week my other brother in law went to mow the lawn. He said he sat on the back steps thinking if he should mow the lawn or not it looked like it might start to rain soon. While he was sitting there he said he heard doors slamming and cabinet doors slamming in the house. The house was locked up so he called my sister and told her he thought some one was in the house. He waited for my sister to get there and then they both went in to check. no one was there every thing was as they left it.
My brother in law never knew anything about the house. We never said much to other people for fear they would think of us as crazy. My brother died in that house and so did my baby sister. There is so much that was seen and heard in that house threw out the years.I can't help but wonder what happened in that house. We had a priest bless the house twice and still had no peace now its going up for sale.I can only hope the new owners will have better luck than we did. If I never go back it will be too soon.
