Childbirth

This is the first time i have written this down. It was around the 21st hour of the birth of my first child at the young age of 17. My husband was at work and i was all by myself the nurses were very cold, and at that late stage of labour the nurses left me alone in the birthing room with a gas mask. I remember sucking on that gas mask in pain and alone and scared but the second my experience started the pain was gone and i felt great better than i had ever felt. Then i started to feel like i was floating but then the life changing experience had me floating above my body looking down at myself still not scared just letting it happen . Then really quickly i was floating up a dark tunnel with an amazing brite lite but then the closer i got to the lite i could see a blue sky green feilds and flowers it was amazing. Then as quickly as that happened i was on the way back down the tunnel then looking at myself there on the bed and before i knew it i had given birth . The experience changed me i dont feel scared of death its as simple as that i beleive theres something beyond death that is nothing but good. This happened in 1971 and i am sorry to say but nurses werent like they are today back then they were cruel to me. they told me i shouldnt be pregnant at my age etc. The whole thing change me for the better.
