Floating Towards the Ceiling

I would love to find out more about my out of body experience, but for now I'll talk about my experience. i am 21 years old now and til this day can remember it as if it was something very important i was suppose to remember, like a wedding or prom.

I was about 5 years old, and at the time was staying at a sitters house during the summer since I had no school. I remember I was very sick that day and had a fever about 101 degrees, and the sitter just gave me medicine and left me alone in the living room like she always did; about ten minutes later, which I know now to be an out of body experience is when it happened. I'm not sure how it happened but all i clearly remember was me looking down to myself slowly floating towards the ceiling and not even thinking much of it no panicing or anything just looking down at myself floating near the ceiling, almost like a dream except i was conscious.

and just as quickly as it happened i went back into body looking into the sitters eyes because she had come up to me and was trying to get my attention by shaking me since she thought i wasnt paying attention to her. and all i remember doing after that was looking up towards the ceiling, not scared at all just confused of what just happened.

I never thought much of it until i read these stories of out of body experiences, I just hope we learn more about them so i can find out what mine might have meant. Was i dying? Was I unconscious? Whatever it is I know for a fact it really happened because it is one of my clearest memories and probably my oldest memory since I was only five at the time. Hopefully some day we have find out why these things happen or atleast how they happen.
