I was at my friend's apartment with three friends. We decided to use a Ouija Board. I am an Atheist, my one friend is a Buddhist, the friend living there is a Wiccan (so he conducted the whole thing), and his wife is an Atheist.

We started using the Ouija Board, and for a while it seemed like the Wiccan friend was controlling what the board said. However, he took his hand off the Planchet, and it continued to move, regardless of the fact that all three of us were skeptics, and all three of us had our fingers lightly on the Planchet; periodically, each of us would raise our fingers up from touching the board, and the Planchet continued to move at a steady pace. Weird! In fact, all three of us thought one of the other two were moving it. In addition, the Planchet would, at times, move really fast to a specific letter or number. Wouldn't it be obvious if one of our fingers was pushing it that fast with as much force?

When we asked the "visitor" his name, he said Kenneth Jones, and that he was married to an Edith Jones. After this session, I went on Google and searched Kenneth and Edith Jones... one of the first results came up, talking about a couple named Kenneth and Edith Jones. Weird!

At this point, the three of us were freaked out. I was perplexed by the fact that my Wiccan friend seemed to regard this event as usual and pedestrian. We looked up stories about Ouija Boards. One story was about people "channeling" a spirit named "JC", who terrorized them. We went back to the board and asked if Kenneth knew a JC. He said Yes. We asked if he could bring JC to us... he said no. We asked why, and the events surrounding his answer alarmed me; he answered "a demon", however, when he spelled it out to begin with, we hadn't made the connection between the letters, spelling out "a demon". The Wiccan friend, who was also the Writer, began writing down A, D, A... but we corrected him and said it was an "E". He scratched it out and finished, finally spelling out "a demon". If he were tricking us, wouldn't he begin writing "E" in the first place?

At times, we smelled what can only be described as death, we heard noises, and things sometimes moved. As an Atheist, this was alarming. What was I experiencing? Having no belief in an afterlife or spirits/ghosts, I didn't know what to think, and still don't.
