Out of Body in Mexico
From: Fred Saunders (Flsaunders@yahoo.com) Story type: Out of Body Experience Location: Los Algodones, BC, Mexico Source: Form Submission Date submitted: Tue Oct 12 13:19:04 2010
I have been undergoing intensive dental surgery for the last 1 1/2 years. One part of the surgery required rebuilding my maxillary sinus, prior to implants. The dental surgeon and team are very experienced and highly credentialed. I have the utmost confidence in the team.
I have a very low resting heart rate at 48 BPM and has been as low as 42 BPM. I am in excellent physical shape and work out, including 2-3 miles and more per day. I was 69 years of age at the time of the experience.
The anesthesiologist was told about my low resting heart rate, which can be a life threatening condition under anesthesia. I was given propofol (Durivan) a twilight sleep anesthesia. This is the same agent that killed Michael Jackson. As the anesthesia started taking effect, I felt my legs first become paralyzed, then the paralysis crept up to my chest and within seconds the paralysis was in my throat and neck, creeping to my face. I knew I had only a minute and I tried the call out. I felt like being nailed into a coffin alive and I was screaming internally. I felt my body tighten up, my muscles became rigid and then I went lax. I left my body and looked down upon myself. I could see myself lying in the surgical chair. An alert technician saw my distress and probably heard a hoarse whisper. The anesthesia mask was ripped off, the I.V. was taken out of my arm and I was rescuitated. The incident was verified by the anesthesiologist to my wife who was waiting.
After the event, I became violently ill and started having feeling of detachment. I felt on another plane and not fully functioning in my surroundings. I still have feelings of detachment after a year of the event.
I am not scheduled to go back for another procedures on October 18. I do not have good feelings and am getting things in order. Why do it again? Why take another chance? Perhaps, it is a calling to return to complete the episode. I do know that I have to finish..
This is a true story and a one that I could have never made up. The incident is verifiable up to the point that I quit breathing...The rest is up to me and I can tell everyone, that I did leave my body...
