An Angel Intervention for a Teacher

This experience happened during my first year of teaching middle school students; another new teacher to the district in which I taught carpooled to school with me. The woman's name was Judy and she had been through a lot of tragedy in her life. Her husband had died recently of a painful and lingering cancer; Judy and I talked on the way to school, and she'd told me the details of her husband's cancer, as well as telling me about her deep faith in God. She also was a very homely woman, horse-faced, I think you could say. I think she may have been Pentecostal; she wore her hair in that old-fashioned style. I describe her appearance only to let you know that she stood out from the crowd.
One Monday, it was my turn to drive and being the air-head I was then, I completely forgot about Judy. I turned out of my driveway and headed the opposite direction from her house toward the interstate and had gone about 1/2 mile, when suddenly I saw this woman literally hanging out of the driver's side of her car window, waving at me madly so as to get my attention. The woman was the absolute spitting image of my teacher friend Judy, and she was desperate to have me notice her. "Judy!" I said aloud, believing for a second that it was her. Then, I realized that I'd forgotten to pick her up, did a u-turn, and retrieved my friend. It was only later that day, that I thought that the person I saw had to have been an angel of God--Judy's guardian angel.
