An Angel Named Milargo

i am a horseback rider and handler. in my handler job i handle a horse named milargo. he is a Friesian who is driven with many other horses. one day at a show we were alone and i was grooming while we were listening to My Chemical Romance. i hit my head hard against a rail and fell back toward Milargo where i blacked out. i later on woke up with him holding me against his body with his neck while splashing me with water from his bucket. i couldnt get my balance so i untied him and held onto his side until i could sit in the shade where he continued to keep me cool. i would go in and out of being awake and asleep and if i want to sleep he would nudge me until i would wake up.

later on we came to the fact that i did have an epileptic seizure and he only did what he guessed he could do. i've known Milargo since i was a baby and believe he was my angel that day, who knows what would have happened if he hadnt kept me against him or had spooked.
