The Boy Who Went into the Fire

I had a family friend who was into Reiki for a while. One day she decided to initiate me, but soon after she started, the candle she had lit beforehand bent and almost burned up the curtains.

She reacted fast and put out the fire, after which she managed a faint 'this has never happened before'. A while after the incident, she told me she had a vision of me in a past life.

I was a little boy (about 10 or 12) who held a flag over his head. He walked tall and proud, but he also walked into a fire of sorts. She didn't say if the boy got burned but this story haunts me to this day.

Why was the boy going into the fire? Why was he carrying a flag? When did this happen? All questions I do not have the answers to. If anyone knows what this might mean, I'd love to hear your input.
