I'm nineteen now, and this story I'm about to tell happened in the year of 2009. Here it goes... I was feeling very sad and suicidal one night because I was having relationship issues. The guy I dated (Kevin, so I don't have to write "the guy I dated" over again) stopped by my mothers house and gave me flowers he picked while on vacation with his family. He was pretty wealthy for living in the area, and I wasn't at all. I had no other friends and didn't like talking to anybody but him. He made me laugh and he made me things by hand.

But that night I got the phone call, I had enough. Just when I felt like this, it goes to waste. I've been picked on all throughout my school years, and to have something good like this go away, it devastated me. Determined to end it all, I calmly sat down in deep thought. I knew cutting was not going to do the trick...but I knew an overdose would. I took a lot of medication. Weight loss pills and some antidepressants, and some other medications. I pet my cat, Belial when I was done taking them. I felt my heart beat very fast and I went to my room to go to bed...and hopefully never wake up.

Then, what felt like only seconds later, I was awake. I looked around, but I wasn't in my room. I was in the hospital. I started to get very scared...and disappointed with an odd feeling on top of that I just couldn't explain. I told the nurses there what happened...and they explained to me what happened. My mom told them this because she was the one that called the ambulance. My mom was asleep and then my cat Belial woke her up, and she heard a thrashing sound on the floor and called the ambulance. However, in the ambulance, I had no vital signs. But within time, they got me back up to breathing. I was shocked at what happened...for my cat to wake my mother up was extremely weird. I don't know how he knew. Now that I think of it, I saved his life when he was a kitten. He had a warble buried into his neck, and if we wouldn't have gotten it taken out, he would have died.
