Motorcycle OBE

My one and only conscious OBE occurred about 10 years ago.

I was riding my motorbike on a very busy London road at around 7.30 in the evening, when suddenly I noticed a white van driving incredibly close to me. In very slow motion I saw my bag and its rather long handle caught up in the front wheel of this van, although I'd felt no tug at my bag either, which was weird. My bag was hanging from my shoulder, but I never actually experienced it leaving my shoulder & I have no idea how it got under this van's front wheel.

The next thing I knew I was about 10 feet up in the air, actually SITTING on a 'motorbike' my 'hands' holding onto 'handlebars', as serene as anything. I recall looking down and saw my physical motorbike spinning round and round on its side on the road.

I clearly remember feeling relief and consciously thinking: "At least my bike's okay". I also remember wondering why I couldn't see the handlebars of the 'bike' I was sitting on, or my hands, which were basically 'fresh air' not even light, just nothing. Transparent, I guess. Although I wondered about this I didn't really consider it that important or odd. It just felt fine.

What I did find odd was the fact that I'd been riding in semi-darkness (around 7pm) and now it was suddenly light! The sky seemed incredibly white. There were no ethereal rays, no glowing rainbow hues, no blazing light. The sky just looked like a stark winter morning when the sky is clear and white.

The next thing I knew I was physically sitting on the road complaining about the pain in my ankle. (It hadn't even been a serious accident! All I ended up with was a broken ankle, and yet all this happened). I do not recall even falling off the bike (and bikers ALWAYS experience the actual tumble, because you often hit your ribs as you land, and you feel the weight of the bike crashing down on your leg, and you watch your mirrors and levers smashing as the bike lands. That part is usually pretty vivid in most cases. I've had a few tumbles and I can testify to that. I always remember the whole sequence of events from the swerve of the bike to the tumble as your ribs crunch against the road.

However I experienced none of that. All I saw was the white van closing in; my bag turning strangely in the front wheel of this van and then I was SITTING up in the air on a (very comfortable) 'invisible motorbike' looking down at my own bike spinning around.

If I'd looked away from my physical bike for a second I might've seen myself, (would my physical being have been conscious?) but my eyes and consciousness were riveted on my precious bike, in case it was damaged!

I have never ever forgotten that experience and if ever I have any doubts about every being upon this planet and beyond having an etheric counterpart to their physical selves I quickly remind myself of this amazing experience.
