It was a nice day on Jan. 30 a sunday in 2011 at one of my favorite skiing resorts. I am somewhat skilled and decided to bring my friend with me. After skiing all day, I decided to go off a path into a woods area for some fun. However to reach this path you had to get enough speed to make it up it. After getting to about 15-20 mph I went up the path but my ski caught on a log and flew off my foot. I went flying through the air and remember seeing the oncoming tree I was about to hit unavoidable. I remember closing my eyes and thinking this was it. I was going to die. I hit the tree and felt my back arch and practically fold hearing each bone in it crack loudly. I then hit the ground and opened my eyes. Amazing that I was alive and had not hit the tree with my face, I feared I might be paralyzed. However I crawled on the ground, stood up and walked to get my skis to continue skiing. I had miraculously been unhurt and only left with a sore shoulder. I did not break anything. I figured the only way possible is that my guardian angel intervened to save me. I am grateful for it.
