Was It but a Dream?

The dream seemed so real.
The time-it is night. The setting-it is some sort of camp or small village in a tropical jungle. I am member of a raiding party. We are exiting the village through a gate, walking a narrow path into the dense, dark-filled night I can smell the jungle. I can hear the jungle. I can see the stars twinkling in the night sky above. It is as real as this keyboard; as real as this table I sit at and type; as real as the lamp sharing space with the modem on my pc's tower.
The entire experience lasts only a brief instance it seemed; the length of time it took to type these words, maybe. I can't be sure, exactly. It would not be so notable as far as dreams go (save for it's incredible realism-which may be the element of the event that disturbed me out of sleep).
But the really amazing thing to me is that the identically same dream occurred only days later. And it was just as realistic the second time.
I could smell the jungle. I could hear it. I could see the stars twinkling. I was a part of everything and everything was a part of me. It was so intimate and personal.
But I woke up on both occasions and there was nothing else beyond what I relate here in this account.
