The Ghost In The Courtyard

It was about one thirty in the morning, and my brother and I were so scared. We sat in my bedroom together, clutching each others hand. I had just read a scary book to him and we were freaked! My bedroom is in the hallway. So right across from my room is our courtyard. There are two huge windows, so you can see perfectly into the courtyard. I was staring out into the courtyard with wide eyes. My brother was staring there too. All of a sudden, a man appeared out of nowhere in our courtyard! He was an old man with one eye,carrying a greenish color lantern. He seemed to be looking for something, he was using his lantern as this searchlight, looking on the ground! He turned towards the window where my brother and I were staring at him. He sneered at us and dissappeared right before our eyes!! I will send more stories that happened to me- I have tons! Lauren
