I worked back in the 1960's as a in-House carpet& Furniture cleaner. My job took me all over the city. One late afternoon I found myself in Germantown-an old section of Philadelphia-cleaning a love seat in an old solid stone house that sat right on Germantown ave, not far from where the Battle of Germantown was fought, during the Revolutionary War.

Everything in the house was old,but the owner was young, married, and with a small child of about Three or Four years old. I never did see the child, just the old toys he or she played with. I'm pretty good at sensing things when their not right, and beleave me -this place was not right!!! There were Three or Four dogs-I can't remember for sure after all these years-all different kinds of Muts, some Big , some Little.

As you came in the front door, there was this long hallway, the dinning Room was off to your right, and living Room off to your left. There were these large mirrors,-Gold Gilded- that reached from the floor to the celling, and must surely wonse been used in a Castle -like home at one time, as they were really to large for this house. The two of them covered the wall on either side of the hallway.

As you walked to the back of the house, you hit two steps that lead you into a little Study- like room that spanned the whole width of the back part of the house. It was in here that I was to clean the love seat. The woman was nice enough, but after showing me what she wanted done she disappeared upstairs. The dogs sat themselves down at the foot of the steps.

Almost instantly I felt this creepy feeling come over me -like I was being watched. It wasn't a friendly feeling either! Suddenly my worst fears all started to be realized at wonse. The dogs -who had been sitting there nicely enough- suddenly stood up, with ears pointed, eyes filled with fear, and Trembling uncontrolably-looked down the hallway towards something only they seemed to see, and suddenly without warning darted off down the hallway, flying in and out of the Rooms like they were chasing a very fast Rabbit. Then they would sit down at the base of the steps again, waiting for the next round of maddness.

Well, this went on for about Ten minutes, and by this time I'd had enough! I wasn't about to wait for the next round, and -cleaning the love seat in record time-beat it out of there, never mentioning to the lady what had transpired. I beleave she knew the place was Haunted, But I don't know how she lived with such an Evil presence, or if she was not a part of it!
