Someone's Behind Me

When I was 13 (which was last year) I had an experience which freaked me out. Well I came home from school and no one was home so I turned on the TV and lit the fire. We live in a really old cottage with only one entrance which was behind me. I was in one of those trances which you go into when you watch TV sometimes and I heard the latch door click and open, then close behind me. Footsteps came behind me and something touched my head and stroked my hair.

Thinking it was my dad I said "Hi" without turning around. The footsteps then walked away and I heard silence. I wanted to ask my dad something about 10 mins later so I got up to find all the lights still off and it had gone dark. I called for him and surched the little cottage and when I was upstairs it suddenly dawned on me that no one was there! The hairs on the back of my neck stood on end and I ran down the stairs taking 4 at a time to my next door neighbour. He has a window in which views the door to my house and he said that nobody had gone past.

I stayed with him until my dad came home. He had not been in since the morning and neither had my two sisters. We later found out that there had been two brothers living in the cottage about 100 years ago and one of them murded the other in the lounge. He then set fire to the cottage which may have of explained some of the singed wood on the ceilings. We still have not moved out!!!
