Angel or a Ghost?

Is my encounter ghostly or angelic? 

I'm 17 years old, I have for months now been having encounters of a spiritual nature. 

Occasionally it bothers me to a point of tears, although it does not seem like a bad thing it is very frightening to me. 

Mostly, I see what to me is a young girl or lady with long blonde hair. She is dressed in a long old fashioned white floor length night gown. The vision only lasts for a second or so and then she is gone. No one else in my family has seen it. 

I would love opinions on what this could be, I am hoping it is just my angel. 

If so I wish it would quit showing itself to me.
