After attending the funeral of my best friend of 13 yrs, I decided to drive back home that night (200 miles). I was very emotional and my night vision is extremely poor due to an accident several years ago. About 20 miles outside of KC, I noticed a truck bearing down on me from behind. I slowed to let it by, but it refused to pass. This annoyed me greatly but I continued on my way. Soon I began to notice that every time I started to become emotional and cry--the truck would speed up and get on my bumper with headlight glaring. I would become distracted by this and pay attention to the road instead of crying. This occurred during the entire trip home. When I was closer to home, I thought I would be clever and stop at a truck stop to see if the truck would follow me in, so I could get a look at the person and give him/her a piece of my mind. I signaled to turn into the next stop as did the truck behind me. I drove slowly in to park as I watched the truck drive toward the parking spaces designated for trucks. As I stopped the car & got out, the truck went behind 2-3 big rigs as I patiently waited by the entrance to the diner. I never saw the truck park or pass by the other parked trucks. I was astounded! I went inside to gather my thoughts and it was at that moment I realized I was having an insulin reaction (decrease in blood sugar brought on by stress and lack of food). I ordered something to eat and waited while the reaction subsided. To this day--I believe my friend was "driving" that rig until she knew I was safe! I have felt her presence many times since and am thankful for my FRIENDly angel!

May seem corny, I know. But, I'm a believer now!
