My Birthday
Name: Robin Email: robinathome@webtv.net Location: my den Type: Angel Date: Sunday, October 08, 2000 Time: 08:45 PM
I told my sisters and everyone that for my birthday,(Sept. 28th) that all I wanted was to have a visit from my mother.(she passed away Sept.9th,1997). and I didn't want them to buy me anything, that was the only thing I really could think of that I wanted more than anything. So,a couple of weeks ago(Sept.28th), my sister came over. with her she brought me a doz. of carnations and 2 sweatshirts and 2 cards.
she was in my kitchen and I went downstairs in my den, to look for something I wanted to show her. when, the phone rings.. It rang 3 times before I could get to it,but when I picked it up, I kept saying "hello",and nobody would answer..finally,music started playing in the back ground. not any kind that I listen to, it was music that was either church music, or funeral music. It was the old timey music with the organ pipes. I waved to my sister to come down and listen.she did and then the phone went dead.(but she heard it, so I wasn't going nuts).
3 mins. later, the phone rang again, same thing happened. We decided to look at the caller ID to see where it came from. To our suprise, it came from my dad's house. so, I called over there to ask my step mom if she and my other sister were playing a gag on me? or if my dad was.. They both said that they were sitting outside talkng to my sister's daughter and grandaughter. and my dad was out at the store.that they haven't been on the phone since I called.. ok, I thought.. so my other sister and I decided to look at the caller ID again to see if we missread the box with the wrong number... when we checked the first time, it read my fathers name, phone number, and it said 2:00, the 2nd time said the same, but 2:03.
this time, it was gone completely ..nothing on the ID box at all!!(No we didn't touch the delete button). my sis turned to me and said: well Robin, It must've been momma calling and wishing her baby girl a "Happy Birthday"..Tears just rolled down my face... Later on that night, I called my dad and told him what happened, and he told me that she was just wishing me a "Happy Birthday" too.. I said maybe dad, but...you know what?.. "SHE CALLED ME FROM YOUR HOUSE" He got quiet for a second and said "yeah, your right". I guess you could say that my Birthday wish was answered...why the music? don't know..but it was soft and beautiful..and full of love..
I know it was my mom, and I miss her sooo much. But this was the best birthday I have had since she passed away! There are more things that I have experianced since her passing.. I would love to come back and share them to you all.. Thanks for listening to my story, and you can believe it or you may not. but I know it was her!..Thanks mom!
