The Night My Mother Came Back

My sister and her three children were living with my husband and myself in a two bedroom trailer when my mother who had been dead for two years came for a visit. 

My sister was laying on the floor facing the closet door sound asleep when she felt someone shake her shoulder telling her to wake up. My sister thought it was me but when she didn't respond right away she said she heard our mother's voice say to her Roxie Marie wake up now, Shane is choking. My sister said she opened her eyes and there was a very bright light shining on the closet door. And there was no way any light was coming in the bedroom window due to the fact of the size of the bunk bed and the window being very small. 

My sister said she jumped up and turned on the bedroom light to find her two year old son had some how gotten the cord of the alarm clock wrapped around his throat and his face was being to turn blue. 

To this day she believe that our mother had been watching over her grandchildren and saved Shane's life. This was not the first time that one of my sister's believes our mother has visited us. 

When another of my sister's and her son lived with us my sister Shawn said she had felt our mother's presence in the little bedroom of my house trailer. I wonder if this is because that was the room she slept in when they came from Florida to visit with us. 

But I to believe that our mother saved Shane's life that night and to this day continues to watch over her grand children and great grandchildren. And that my dead grand daughter is now in her care.
