Bampa Ivor Is Watching the Children

I had one child nearly five years and a new born sickly baby. My husband worked away and only came home twice a week. I had been made redundant whilst pregnant and had become quite nervous about the baby. I was paranoid about cot death and continually ran up and down the stairs in approx 15 minute intervals to check she was breathing, despite the fact that I had a baby alarm on as well. I also slept badly for the same reason.
After about the tenth visit one particular night, I was just about to get up and run up the stairs again when halfway up the stairs I felt very warm and calm and a 'voice' in my head said, "Don't be silly, if anything is wrong with the children, Ivor will let you know."
Ivor was my father in law who had passed away the year I met my husband. Apparently he was devoted to kids and would have loved to have been a grandfather.
Since then I have always felt he is watching the children. In fact my eldest daughter told me he visits her regularly and talks to her. She asked me if I wanted her to bring him into our room one night. I declined! I'm not sure my psyche would accept a visit from a dead relative as easily as a child's psyche does.
One more thing, while I stayed with my mother in law before my wedding, I awoke in the night because I could hear a small bell ringing (handbell type that you would use as an ornament). I got up and went downstairs but could find nothing. When I mentioned it at breakfast my mother in law nearly fainted. She told me that when my father in law came home from hospital before he finally passed away, he slept in the dining room (underneath the bedroom I slept in) and he had a small bell to ring in case he needed something. She got the bell and rang it ..... and Yes it was the bell I heard that night. However, I did not feel frightened or anything, more welcomed into their family.
