He Can Hear You

I was at home at about 10.30pm. My mom had just returned home from a night out and told me about a friend of hers who knew a woman who was pregnant and whose first daughter was terminally ill, with no chance of recovery. My mom told me that the elder daughter, who was about three years old, was very excited about getting a new brother or sister but would never get to meet her. This greatly upset me and when I went to bed that night I took my Rosary, being a Catholic. I then prayed to Mary and to God to please spare the life of the young girl, or that if this was not possible, to at least allow her to live long enough to see her younger sibling. The very next day my mother had returned from work to tell me that she had spoke to her friend and it appeared that the doctors had made a mistake and although the young girl was still very ill, her chances of survival had rose to 50:50. This happened about three years ago and the little girl is still alive and loves her younger sister very much. Whether or not God actually heard and listened to me I don't know for sure but I like to believe that he did.
