when i was a child my family would go to a park called swiss valley. this park had a stream that passed over the road that wound through the park. children of all ages played in the stream. there were a few deep pools, or drop offs in the stream. at the time of the encounter i was around 3or4 yrs of age . I was watching older kids jumping off an old stump into a deep pool. I was in awe of one kid in particular who dove through a intertube.

testing my own skills of holding my breath i tried going through my own intertube which was small and i tall for my age. well you can imagine i got stuck half way through. I had panicked and tried to come up to soon. i am 35 years old and can still see the images that went by of legs and feet, that i kept trying to grab for help. i heard a clear voice tell me to lift my legs up. prior to the voice i had kept trying to fip the intertube over but couldn't. i listened to the voice and when i did, slipped right through the intertube.

after almost drowning i climbed out of the stream and ran to an older sister crying. i had ripped the straps of my favorite swimming suit and she safety pinned them for me. i told her she had saved me when she told me to lift up my legs. she was 18 yrs older than me and in charge of me and my siblings. she had no idea what i was talking about but she rapped me in a towel and had me lay down and take a nap .

i know that i was very young when this happened, the swimsuit that i wore that day was white with red hearts and ruffles on the butt. i do remember when i first came out up from the intertube there weren't any kids behind me and that is why i thought my sister had hollered at me from the bank to lift my legs up. i believe now that my guardian angel saved me that day.
