My Father's Miracle
From: Caitlin (Brunette5588@aol.com) Story type: Angel Location: hospital Source: Form Submission
When I was about 4 years old, my father was in the hospital because the had blood clots in his lungs, and one was moving up towards his heart, blocking the flow of blood. Soon the doctors were watching him all day, with him hooked up to wires and everything. They even had him sign life-support papers. They were sure he would die within 72 hours of signing the papers. I don't remember this too well, (i'm 14 now) and as I said, I was only 4 at the time. My older brother was 6, my little sister was 2, and my little brother had just been born a few months earlier. So none of us remember this, except my mom and of course my dad.
Well, my dad was lying in the hospital bed, fearing he would die, leaving his wife a widow and us fatherless. Then, a beautiful woman dressed in a long white dress approached his bed, kneeled beside him, and said in a "quiet but beautiful voice" as my dad described it, "Hello, Tim. I heard you had a wife and 4 young children, including a new born son, praise be to god. When I heard you were sick, I went to the chapel to pray for you. May God Bless You." Then she stood up and walked away. He never saw her again.
After a long night, the doctors came the next morning to check on my father's blood clots. They were all gone. There wasn't a single blood clot left. They just disappeared. The doctors were shocked. My dad had such a serious case of clotting, and within one night they had all just gone away! My dad stayed in the hospital a little longer, just to be checked by the doctors (they were so amazed!) to make sure the clots wouldn't come back. But my dad's blood was suddenly healthy and there was no trace of the clots to be found. My dad told my mother about the lady who visited him dressed all in white.
Today we are all still amazed by this, and we all think she was an angel. To this day I still wonder and praise God for saving my father's life. If anyone has any thoughts, feel free to e-mail me.
