Saying Goodbye?

I am not really sure if this would be an angel story or a ghost story. In 1997 I spent a brief, very brief, period of time in the Navy. I decided that was not the place for me, so I decided to get out. Anyway, while laying in my bunk around 5:30 pm trying to take a nap, I had just closed my eyes and was trying to think of relaxing thoughts when I felt someone kiss me right on the lips. This was not a light kiss, this was a hard, press against your lips kiss. Of course, being in the room with a bunch of girls, I totally freaked out, jumped up and looked around. There was no one on my side of the room, no way anyone could have smooched me and gotten away with it. Well, I thought that was really weird and laid back down. When I got home 3 days later, I called my best friend Marcus who was going to college in Austin, just to let him know I was home. His roommate proceeded to tell me that Marcus had drowned on Memorial Day around 4:30 pm in Lake Travis, the exact day and close to the time I had the weird kiss. I really do feel that was him saying goodbye and letting me know that he was ok. He had helped me through a tough time when my boyfriend had been killed in a motorcycle accident a year earlier. I loved Marcus very much and still do. I know that he would have been worried about me losing him since I had been so depressed. I was for a long time, but will never forget the joy I felt when I realized he had said goodbye from so far away. I love you Marcus, always.
