My Grandmother

My grandmother died when I was 8 yrs old an I took it very hard because my mother and I lived with her parent after my father died. Well, after she died I really didn't understand the meaning of death and I would sit by the front door waiting for her to come home. Years went by but i still missed her very much and I prayed to her to let me know that she still loved me. One night my prayers were answered because I woke up and my bedroom smelled just like ler. It was undiscribable, I thought that I was going crazy but my mother and my grandfather confirmed that it was definetly her smell. To this day no matter how many times I have washed it my pillow smells just like her and it has been about 10 yrs since this occurence.

This past year I went to visit my grandmothers grave for the first time in a long time. I had just gotten my first car and could finaly drive to the cemetary. Well while I was walking away to go to my aunt gravesite (who is also buried there) to console my cousin I told my grandmother that I loved her. At that moment my car alarm started to go off as if something hit it. I looked at my cousin and she asked what set it off I said it was grandmom. It happened once more before I left after I told her I loved her. I know now that my grandmother will always be there when I need her even though I can't see her.
