The Ouija That Was Right

About ten years ago, when I was a freshman in high school, my
friend brought out a Ouija board at her birthday party. I
volunteered to place my hands on the pointer, along with another
friend of mine. One girl at the party liked a boy older than us,
and she knew he had a girlfriend, but she didn't know the girl's
name. The first question we asked the Ouija was, "What is
the name of Bill's girlfriend?". The pointer becan to move
below our hands, slowly at first, but eventually it picked up
speed. It spelled out the name, "ROBYN". We found out a
few months later that was the girl's name, although it was
spelled differently. Each senior in our high school could put a
quote into the yearbook. We used this as the basis for our next
question. We asked, "Who is the author of the third quote on
page #52 in the yearbook?". No one at the party knew this
answer-we just picked the page and quote # at random.
"VNHLN" was the Ouija's reply. We looked up the quote,
and we were shocked to see that the quote was a lyric from a song
by the group Van Halen.
