Strike of Death

I met this strangest girl when I was in third grade. She had no family except her mom and dad. one day i asked what happened to the rest of her family. and her mom walked in and decided to tell us the story. 

Before my friends mom was pregnant they lived in a little house and in there house they had this clock. I don't know where they got it or anything but it was on the order of a grandfather clock. Just not as tall and the odd thing was that on the strike on an hour it didn't make that noise. in fact, it barely ever did. And after awhile they prayed it wouldn't. 

When the clock strike at any minute or hour it was like a death call. To let them know that someone in their family was going to pass over. When the clock struck that meant they had about 2-7 days till one of their loved ones died. And after it struck once it would go years without striking again sometimes. other times just a month or so. but it never failed, someone always died. 

When their family got down to just her parents her mom decided that maybe it was the clock even though it was the craziest thing she thought of. She took the clock apart (breaking everything it in) and put it away in the attic. there was no way it could ever strike and kill again. Then one day when they came home from somewhere the clock was hanging on the wall working once again. They were so scared that packed there stuff and moved out. 

They never had another person died in their family because of that clock since they are both still living. but wonder what happened to the next family that moved into the house.
