Whether if you believe or not it dosen't really matter. The town of Lake Havasu City is a strange town of daily hospitality, and nightly unnatural phenomena.
I'm walking down Palo Verde' almost to acoma. There being no street lights, the moon light is all the illumination one needs out here. Anyway, I'm almost to acoma and some dogs start barking at me. I pay them no mind and keep walking. Two hundred feet away from the dogs they start barking again at something else.
Almost immediately there is a yelp and all the other dogs go silent. After a few seconds standing there straining my ears to hear something. A rhythmic rattling and chirping noise echoes from the direction of the dogs. Now I don't mean to brag, but I only get uneasy when the back of my hairs go up. If they don't go up, I really don't care what's happening. They went up and I got a feeling like I was about to throw down with at least three or four guys. I was pretty worried, not much can do that to me, especially something I couldn't see.
Picking up the pace I kept walking and every fifteen seconds I kept hearing that same noise. I get to Acoma and hang a left towards Mcculloch, the sound gets closer and takes a left a block behind me. Increasingly the noise intensifies and shortens it's intervals to five seconds. I can hear it going towards Mcculloch as well, probably circling around me. I hope not.
I get to Mcculloch silence, except for the sharp buzzing of closed store florescence. I don't hear anything, but still the hairs on my neck are still standing. Bad news buddy i'm still being followed, crap. I start to prepare myself mentally for a fight with the unknown, I kept on walking for saguaro. I turn around the corner and duck behind far wall at Maddoggs; a local bar, whatever is following me I'm goin to kick it's ass. Nothing, but agonizing silence. Then I hear the sound two hundred feet away down the street I'm supposed to be walking down to get home. The damn thing cut me off. I felt so stupid, the guys at the dojo would have my hide for such white belt mistake.
Slowly I start to walk down the street for saguaro dr. And that damn noise is getting closer. Half way home and something rushes me from the right. It's too dark to make any details except it was humanoid, hunched over like a tiny gorilla. It slams me in the chest and forces me into a house garage door. BLACK. I wake up to gun fire and some people shaking me around. They explained to me it was a hobo...right. But the one thing I did learn about this thing is that when it was following me the crickets weren't chirping.
End.
