Visitation of White Owl

I work as a security guard at a local printing plant. On December 31, 1999, I worked the swing shift, 4 pm until midnight.

My relief came in early which allowed me to leave slightly before midnight. As I walked out of the plant and to my car, I noticed something large in the tree which I had parked in front of. I thought perhaps that I was seeing things because it looked like what I was seeing was a big, white owl. When I got right up to the tree, I saw that it was a huge, white owl sitting in the top of the tree. I said to the owl, "Oh! You are the owl!" The owl regarded me somberly, made a low hooting, cooing sound deep in his throat, then spread his wings and flew away. This sighting occurred exactly at the stroke of midnight, thus the turning of the century. I know because I looked at my watch when the owl flew away. I don't know what the significance of this sighting is, or what it could mean for me, but I'm sure that whatever it is, it's something powerful. I feel somehow blessed by this event, and will continue seeking the answer I know I'm meant to learn.
