Unusual Balls of Light

This occured a few years back when I was 15 or so. I"ve had a few strange occurences happen but this is the wierdest I"ve ever encountered.

I had been out with friends till late one night. I came home tired and looking forward to going to bed. I lived with my parents and my younger sister in our fairly modern/new house. It was about 2.00am in the morning. When I entered the house it was the same as usual, everyone asleep and the house was dark and quiet. I walked towards my room looking forward to a good nights rest.

I walked to the entrance of my room and immediately noticed a large ball of light hovering above my bed. As I stood in the doorway absolutely terrified the ball divided into three balls of light and started spinning around my room from wall to wall. The balls were each about as large as a basketball and the centre of the balls weren"t as bright as the outer rim of the ball. They were travelling around my room at a fairly fast speed. I stood frozen with fear for about 10 seconds then quickly slammed the door shut.

My sister was asleep in the room next to mine so I ran in there and started to tell her what had happened. She was to scared to go and look for herself so she stayed where she was and I decided it was a really good idea to stay there for the rest of the night.

There had been recent deaths in the family and I"m not sure if this had something to do with it. The balls did not make me feel good or comforted they gave me an uneasy/scary feeling but didn"t seem to be threatening. I have never seen them again or had anything similar happen to me in that house. I still have no idea as to what they were or what they represented.
