Black Cloud

This happened a few years ago when I was about 15 years old, (I am now 21). My family and I lived in an older house built in 1927.Although this was not the original building spot for the house, we moved it to our property a couple miles away. Previous to this cloud event, when we were remodeling, a note was found in the walls dated May 27, 1927 stating "You are a damn fool for living in this house". Yes, this letter is authentic.

Anyway I was in my room sleeping as I normally would at midnight. When I awoke suddenly, not knowing why, only to see a black, fuzzy cloud in my doorway. It was almost like it was staring at me. When my eyes focused enough for me to realize it wasn't normal I (quietly) freaked out and pulled the covers over my head.

When I peaked back out a couple seconds later, the cloud turned around and floated into my sisters bedroom which I could see from my room. I of course pulled the covers back up over my head and proceeded to fall asleep trying to forget the cloud.

Although when this cloud was in my doorway, I didn't feel any cold, just goosebumps from fright I guess. I am a believer in paranormal beings, ghosts, etc. Can anyone tell me what this could possibly have been.
