Contact Lens Ghost

During my second year of college a friend and I moved into an apartment near the campus. The first night we were there, our neighbors and a bunch of their friends came over to welcome us to the apartments (it was a small complex and everyone knew each other). As the night progressed, they all started telling us that our apartment was haunted. Apparently our landlady's husband had been murdered in the parking lot and he chose this one particular apartment to visit. Of course, we didn't believe it and figured they were just trying to scare the new people. After that, though, my roommate and I started kidding around about the ghost. If anything turned up missing, or if we spilled something, we'd blame the ghost.
One day, I was putting my contact lenses in and dropped one. I looked all over the bathroom, getting down on my hands and knees, shining a flashlight so that it would show up, all to no avail. My contact was gone. A couple of weeks later I was griping about how long it was taking for me to get new contacts. Finally, I said out loud "OK, ghost. Give me back my contact." My roommate and I laughed about it and continued talking. About a half hour later, I walked into the bathroom and sitting on the counter was my contact - as good as new.
The stories the neighbors shared were much more spine-tingling, but I tend to really believe mine since it was my own personal experience.
I just submitted another story about the house I grew up in and I have a question for
everyone. Do you think that some people have a tendency to have spirits around them or to
sense them more than other people? I seem to have a knack for living in places with spiritual
activity and I wondered if it had anything to do with me, or if it was just coincidence.
