Ghostly Bodies

This is a rather short story but nontheless I thought I would include it. The experience happened during the spring of 95, myself and my girlfriend where returning from a day out backpacking around the hills and streams that make yorkshire one of the most beautiful places in England. It was getting late so having returned back to the car, we decided to head home.. The country lanes that surround this part of the world are ever twisting and turning as well as this there is no street lighting, you are reliant on your own head lamps to get you through safely. Well having driven for some time we approached this rather long bend in the road, that is when I saw the people..

Iluminated by the oncoming traffic was a group of people crossing the road, in a split second I went from curiousness to shock as the cars drove through the people..

I asked my girlfriend if she had seen it too, her face was as white as a sheet.."Yes,Stop The Car" she screamed. So I stopped luckily there was no traffic behind me...I opened the window and timidly peared out, nothing there, not even a whisper, nobodies, no screams nothing. Well as soon as I realised that there was no body there I got that car to 70mph and stayed at that speed till I reached the nearest town, only then did I slow down.

It may not sound too frightening but lets put it this way I wont be using that route again.
