Ghost of Grandma Mary
From: JLP (JLPX98@aol.com) Story type: Ghost Location: My house Source: Form Submission
When I was growing up I had a strong psychic bond with my great grandmother Mary whom I have got to known in my short 10 years of my life. She was originally from Scotland and came to this country as a young lassie. I was told that Scottish people tend to have a strong psychic bond and be able to see things. Well, apparently I received this "gift" which it is very common in my family.
Sadly, Grandma Mary passed away on 26 October 1982 at the age of 91 years. After she had passed on, I always felt she was around me, watching over me to make sure I was protected from those bad people. There would be several incident that would follow soon after her death.
The very first incident occurred when I was asleep in my bed and my bed shook softly on the same day that Grandma Mary was buried.
The second incident occurred late one night when I was sitting in the living room watching TV, and all of sudden I looked up, I saw her body floating by me as it seemed very real to me. It was brilliant in colors like she was still alive standing right in front of me and it didn't seem to me that she was really dead.
The third incident happened on the morning hours of 26 October 1994. I was sound asleep in my bed, when all of sudden it felt like someone's hand was touching my pillows which it was still doing it after I woke up. After I sat up in the bed wondering what had happened just few moments before, then I just happened to looked to my right side of my bed I saw the ghost of Grandma Mary standing right before my very own eyes, just floating there for few minutes. At that point I felt very peaceful knowing that she afterall was still around me, I fell back to asleep. Waking up the next morning, I told my mother about my story of what had happened several hours eariler. She replied to me that it was the day of Grandma Mary's death anniversary which I had completely forgotten about it until my mother reminded me about the date. After when I heard from mother about the date of the anniversary, it made me have the chills down my spine.
The last incident happened in the month of January 1997, when I was extremely sick with a flu which I couldn't quite shake it off. Late one night again I was sound asleep when a light woke me up. At first I thought was the moon shining into my bedroom window which I sleep next to it. I sat straight up looking at the window expecting to see a moon, but it was very dark outside and there was no moon in sight. I searched around the room with my eyes in the dark, then I looked toward to the end of my bed (approx 3 feet away) there stood a ball of light which I couldn't quite make out since I didn't have my glasses on. It was just floating there for it seems like eternity. I reached over to my nightstand to get my glasses and turn on my lamp, so I could get a better look. It was gone and there wasn't anything there. So I went back to bed and fell asleep until the next morning I woke up feeling 100% and was able to eat for the first time since I had been sick in the previous (?) days unable to eat much. Whatever that was I saw that night, it certainly was here to make sure I would get better.
To this day, my bed still shakes once in awhile. I think Grandma Mary is trying to tell me that she
would always look out for me and make sure I am OK.
