Ghost in the Apartment

This story happened before I was born so I can only tell you what I was told. My mom and dad lived in a small apartment next to a morgue. Mom thought there was a spirit of some kind living in the apartment with them. Little things would happen like when she was cooking she would leave the room and come back to find the oven had been turned up to 500 instead of being 250 or 300 where she has left it. She would also find that the fingers on her rubber cleaning gloves cut off. At first she blamed my Dad because he was a dentist so she thought he might have needed it for something (I don't really know) but he would always tell her it wasn't him. This was true it wasn't him. Then one night mom was sitting down doing some paper work she needed to get done and then lights went out. So she went to flick them back on and as soon as she got to the light switch it switched back on. So she just thought for a minute, confused a little, and then sat back down to her work. As soon as she sat back down the lights went out again. So she got up again to flick them back on but when she got there they flicked themselves back on again just like before. This happened about three more times. Then finally mom just looked around and said to whatever it was OK this stuff is really important and I really need to get it done. LEAVE THE LIGHTS ON! Then the lights came back on and nothing else happened for the rest of the night.
