This is a true story straight from South Carolina. It takes place in Union, SC in a place called Goshen Hill. According to legend a long time ago around in the 1800's a man was sitting at home, with his dog, by his fireplace. Then a ban of robbers broke in to rob the old man but accidentally knocked a log out of the fireplace which burned the house down with him inside.
Bursting with vengeance the old man's dog chased the robbers. he eventually caught up with them and jumped in the wagon with them. Frightened the men shot the dog in the head, but a half a mile down the road it appeared back in the wagon and caused them to wreck down a very steep hill; killing everyone inside.
Now, even today, if you go down to Goshen Hill and walk on the old dirt path you WILL see what people around here now call "Happy Dog." Many people have seen him with a grayish body and eyes glowing red.
So if you want a thrill take a walk down Goshen Hill!
