Haunted Couch?

My husband and I 'inherited' a second hand couch from some friends of ours. It was in perfectly good condition, they had just gotten a new one and knew we were looking for one. It's a perfectly innocent looking beige couch, quite comfortable!

A few days after they brought the couch by, I was sitting on it, watching the evening news, when I felt someone sit down next to me. I thought it was my cat jumping up next to me, but he wasn't around. I thought it might be the springs settling from the move, and thought nothing more of it. Then, over the next few weeks, at approximately the same time every night (6:30-ish), it would happen again! There was never any hostility involved in this person sitting down next to me - it was just as if they had gotten home from work, and were sitting down to watch the news! It still happens, but not as much as it used to. So maybe it was the springs after all...but at the same time every night? But it's strange what you can get used to. Other people have felt it, too, and I've explained it. I'm not certain if they believe me, but I don't mind. It's nice to have someone to watch the news with! I hope I'm watching the channel they want to see.
