International Haunting

Last year I was living and going to school in Uppsala Sweden. We live in a dormitory that was built in the 1960"s, but just across the street was a cemetary where there were Viking graves, so who knows what was buried under the apartment.

There were ten of us living on the top floor of the building for the entire school year. Out of the ten of us, four of us experiences what could only be described as hauntings.

I myself was one of the four. I had a friend who had taught me how to do card readings, and that skill became popular among my friends, the only problem was that the cards did not like my room. One night I awoke in the middle of the night. I was facing the wall beside me bed, when I opened my eyes I saw a face in front of mine, I was only a few inches from the wall at the time. After that during the night I could feel one or more spirits in my room.

My friend across the hall from me would often times wake up in middle of the night and hear voices speaking in Swedish. Now bear in mind, the common language on our floor was English, and the two floors below us were filled with girls from Finland so heaing Swedish in the middle of the night was an almost impossibility.

In the corridor across from ours two of our friends also experiences several hauntings. They would wake up in the night to feel their beds being shaken, they were in different rooms on opposite sides of the corrridor, as were my friend and myself. Kirsten, one of the girls across the hall, was sitting at her desk one day when she for some reason turned around and looked at her bed, on the table beside her bed she had placed her walkman, when she turned around, it was levitating several above the table.

The strange thing about these hauntings, is that only the females on the floor experienced them. I have always been atuned to spirits, so I wasn"t to shocked by my experiences in Sweden, but the regularity, and the amount of people who experienced them is what shocked me. Does anybody have any explanations as to why so many of us were affected, and why only the females??
