Haunting

When I was thirteen years old, I moved in with my aunt for a short time while my mother was getting some divorce work settled. When I first moved to the house, I often felt strange walking upstairs to my room. I always felt as though someone were watching me. This made it very difficult to go to bed at night. I convinced myself that It was an over active imagination.
One day after school (I was the first one home in the afternoons) I was watching T. V. when I heard footsteps walk across my bedroom upstairs I was angry, thinking that it was my cousin wondering around up there. I went up, and there was no one there! I was able to convince myself again that it was nothing. I went back down stairs and watched more T.V. Soon, there were footsteps and murmering voices coming from my room. Again I went up to investigate to find nothing. This incident started a series of bizarre episodes.
One evening every time I went to the stairs to go up to my room the light in my room had either gone on or off. Finally I got the nerve to go up and I convinced myself again (the only way I could get sleep was to convince myself nothing was going on) that there was a short in the light. I also heard loud noises that should have been heard by other family members, but never were. I never saw anything, but I could feel it. The footsteps and mumering voices became common.
Several years later,
my aunt informed me that the reason they moved from the house was
because of the strange things that they heard from my bedroom.
She also told me that when they bought the house, my bedroom had
several locks on the outside of the door, as though something was
locked in.
