The Indian Woman

In September of 2000 my best friend's father died.We were 24 years old at the time. I went to her house where she lived with her parents to spend the night before the funeral.

My friend was in the living room writing a letter to her dad to put in his casket, while I was in her bedroom laying on the floor talking to her boyfriend who was on the bed. I was lying on my stomach when she came into the room and started talking to her boyfriend about the letter. I was very much awake. I might add at this time that I have always been sensitive to things of a spiritual nature.

I suddenly felt someone enter the room. I wasn't scared because I naturally assumed it was her dad. I even remember half-expecting him to pull the covers off me since he was always pestering. I soon realized this was not her dad.

A tingling started in my toes and continued up my body until I felt like something was pressing me to the floor, including my head. I couldn't move or breathe. I could see though and I was trying to see what was going on but all I could see was the bed beside me and all I could hear were my friend and her boyfriend still talking away, completely unaware.

I was finally able to pull her cover with the tips of my fingers and she looked over and it broke loose. I gasped very loudly and jumped up. She said "You were paralyzed weren't you?" When I said yes, she said that it had happened to her in there before. I looked up at this picture of this Indian woman in her room(don't get me wrong, I am part Indian) and when I looked at this picture-which gave me the creeps anyway, all I could see was this bright swirl of colors. That was the door.

She ended up giving that picture to her sister who is now having problems, surprise, in her house with cabinets opening and such that never happened before.
