Hi. My name is Michael Baum and I'm 13 years old. This is a true story about what happened to my family and I when we moved into our new apartment in New York City.

When I first saw our new apartment, I thought it was wonderful. In a great area, right across the street from my school-and best of all, my own room. But there was one strange thing about it. Whenever I went into the kitchen, I would feel like something was missing. I just brushed it off as my imagination because the apartment was two entire floors-much larger than my own apatment and I just figured that I was nervous. The kitchen was an eat in kitchen, but small. There was a terrace outside of the kitchen, and an exit door (the apartment had been four apartments originally).

One night, while I was sleeping, I had a dream about our kitchen. I dreamed that the stairs you walk up to get into it were there, but at the top of the stairs to the right, there was a door. I went over to the door and I opened it and inside was a large dining room. On the opposite side of the dining room, there was a small, wood box. I went over and opened it and inside was a dead dog. I was so horrified that I dropped my flashlight and ran down the stairs into my room. I then woke up screaming. My parents came in and convinced me that it was only a dream- I didn't think so.

The next morning, When I went upstairs to eat brekfast, I went over to where I had seen the door in my dream-It was a wall, just a wall, No door, no dining room, no dead dog. But I still wasn't totally convinced that it was only a dream. I started knocking on the wall to see if it was hollow- It was. I convinced my parents too hire someone to take down the wall. They did and to they're-and my- great suprise, there was a large room behind it. In the room was an old dining room table, and on the opposite side of the room, a wood bok. My dad started to walk over to see what was in the box but he tripped and fell to the ground. I went over to see what he had tripped on and I could not believe it. My flashlight was lying on the floor by his feet.

P.S. This story is TOTALLY true.
