My Haunted House I

Hello, I used to live in a house filled with crazy occurrences. My family moved in when I was 6 and lived there till I was 13. The basement and bathroom were the scariest places. Throughout the house we would hear footsteps, and doors opening and closing, of course, after close inspection, no one else was home. 

One incident sticks in my mind. Dad was at work and me and my brother were fast asleep. Mom was in the living room sitting in the corner chair reading, while our cat ate it's food at the foot of the steps. All of a sudden Barry (cat's name) looked upstairs and starting growling. It got so bad that my mom noticed and picked him up. She walked upstairs and he started hissing and his hair stood straight up! He was almost jumping out of her arms by the time she got to the bathroom. She flipped on the light, and Barry was fine. But something had surely been there. 

I never actually remember seeing any apparitions but I heard a lot. Our TV would go and off by itself, as with our vcr and even our microwave would start up by itself. After too long I got used to it, as the ghosts or spirits were kind, at least to me anyways.. 

After a few years things started to die down. When we moved out lots of weird things started happening again. Fingerprints and handprints of a small child were all over the walls. My mom would wash them off, but they would always come back. A dead cat was found under the basements steps (not our cat) and my mom went upstairs to get a trash bag, came back and it was gone. My soon to be step-father at the time left the house for lunch and when he returned the ladder that was in the kitchen was in front of the front door and he couldn't get in. No One had been there, because no one else had the key. 

Yes this place did have some freaky moments and was known to hold nice and some evil spirits. I have more true-life stories that I would like to share, but this one is getting long. So, I will be back to share more.
