Hi there and hello. This is a collection of stories I have that detail events that have occurred in my house. I have lived here for nearly all of my 21 years in this world and the presense of something has been here for as long as I can remember. I'm not going to say that my house is haunted because I believe that hauntings are evil. My "friends" however, are quite nice. I've seen them on two occassions and know that they have a sense of humor. I have a feeling that the strongest presense is a male, older. I don't know why but I just have this feeling.

Well anyway on with my stories. The first story I'll tell you involved my cat. He's already a selfish and mischievous handful but moving on....

One evening I was sitting in the living room watching tv in my mother's rocking chair. I must tell you that the rockers have broken off but the chair still serves the purpose of being a seat. Well so there I was sitting, wrapped up in whatever I was watching when out of the corner of my eye, I saw my cat walk under my legs, rubbing against the back of my calfs. Anyone who owns a cat knows this is a sign that they want to be petted. I even saw his tail as he passed under me. But something was off. Although he's a dark cat (gray tiger stripped) his tail was BLACK. I went to reach down to shoo him away from me but grabbed at air. And I knew that he didn't come out the other side of my legs He just disappeared.

When I put my full attention to finding out where he went, I heard him meow. From upstairs. In my room. Door closed. Where I had left him an hour ago. Now like I said it took a few minutes to realize that this wasn't my cat that had come near me. I know my cat can open doors, he just paws at the knob til they open. But he didn't do that this time!! (FREAKY HUH??!!)

My next experience happened with my dog. I had been cleaning my house like a mad woman :vacuuming and such. I was in the kitchen washing dishes when I heard the jingling of the dog's neckchain and I turned just in time to catch her trot into the living room from the stairs. I yelled for her to get off the rug ( I just vacuumed dammit and she sheds a lot). I waited for her to come back towards the stairs but she didn't. So when I went to find out where she was and why she wasn't listening, she wasn't in the living room. Just as I was about to check the dining room to see if she was trying to hide from me, I heard the chain again. I turned around, and just at that moment she was coming down the stairs from the third floor. She apparently only came down because she heard me call her name. (Whoo hoo even freakier).

And now I have to tell you about the two times I saw the ghosts for myself. The first time I saw one, I was in the living room (hmmm connection with that room?) making sure everything was turned off when I turned to look up the stairs where the 3 second floor bedrooms are located.

Let me set the scene there is one bedroom door that you see straight ahead when you are at the bottom of the stairs. The other two bedrooms are both the sides of the hall but are all right near one another my room is on the right, my middle sister (D) is on the left and my oldest sister's (T) is the middle one.

Well when I turned, I saw the outline of a body, like someone in a running position, going from D's room to my room. But I only got a 2 second glimpse at it because it suddenly disappeared. The body was made of smoke but we all know smoke does not just disappear like that. The second time I was (once again) in the living room, doing the nightly round when I turned to see the same smoke thing only this time it was only the head of a person and it was running from the front door into the kitchen. Both times I just kinda froze, startled, but got myself together and went about my business with the sense that they were not here to hurt me.

I still believe that to be true . I almost think of them as guardian angels I suppose. But I do get the feeling that they do not like to be talked about, that the ghost stories in this site make them uncomfortable.

While I was writing the part about the first smoke ghost, I heard noises and felt like someone was watching me. But I think he understands that I'm not here to EXPOSE him in a bad way. I think he understands that I'm just adding my experience to the mix, because the presense has left. I kind of like having them around. They let me know that I'm not alone and that I don't have to be scared of them. But they do not follow me out of this house.

When I went away to college my first year, I noticed that the feeling of "something" being there did not happen in the dorm. Oh well at least they kept mommy safe while I was away. But I dont think anyone should be too scared if they have similar experiences. I think they're cool. I'd probably pee in my pants if they ever appeared to me face to face, but that'd be okay. Well thank you for listening to my long-winded story.
