Noisy Ghost?

My husband was stationed at Schofield Bks in Hawaii. My husband, and two daughters (ages 7 and 10) and I lived in government quarters on base. One night my husband had duty all night. The girls slept in the same bedroom across the hall from our bedroom. We went to bed about 10pm. The girls woke me up at 12pm and said "Daddy is downstairs making noises and we can't sleep" Well, I listened and didn't hear anything. I went downstairs and saw nothing. I came back upstairs and told the girls to go back to sleep. They were scared, but went into their room. I went back to sleep. About 3pm the girls came back into my room and said that "Daddy is downstairs moving the furniture and playing music" Well, I once again heard nothing. I went downstairs and the house was empty. I had the girls get into my bed with me and we went to sleep. I didn't think much of this, until the next morning...I was outside about 8am watering my flowers and a neighbor opened up her door and told me she almost called the military police on me. I asked her why and she said "That must have been some party you were having last night with all the moving of furniture and loud music!" I was shocked. I was even more shocked when another neighbor asked me if we were cleaning house or what cause we had woke her up also. To this day, (12 years later) both my girls swear that they heard their dad downstairs that night. It is a mystery to me what happened, but I know something must have taken place.
