Ouija Board Occurrences

Can anyone really explain the Ouija board? I had an experience some years ago concerning one. Several people and I were using one for the 1st time, and the results were amazing. The people in the group were adults who knew nothing about my mother who had passed away when I was young. My mother, was who we seemed to be communicating with. The board claimed it was her and answered questions that only I would know. Upon switching people on the board, the answers and patterns remained consistent until I was out of the rotation, where there was no response at all. All this was particularly disturbing, and I really had not thought taking it seriously even though I could not explain it. I knew I was doing nothing to make this happen and could not see anyway anyone else was controlling it. There were no other occurrences, other then half a dozen amazed people.
